The Lead Echo Technician is knowledgeable and proficient in the performance of Echocardiograms, Stress Tests and TEE. Employee must work independently with direction from Cardiopulmonary Director and/or Supervisor. Employee will work closely with the medical staff to meet their patient/ clerical needs as well as the hospital staff on a daily basis. Knowledgeable and proficient in the equipment utilized for Echocardiograms, Stress Tests, TEEï¿½s, Cleaning and other Diagnostic Cardiac procedures. Works closely with department management and Medical Director, assisting with planning, organization, and coordination of the cardiac services within the department. Assists with accreditation reviews, criteria and renewal. Supervises echo staff to ensure schedule and call coverage. Redistributes workload to accommodate departmental changes and needs.
Minimum Education / Licensure / Certifications
Licenses, Certifications and/or Registrations:
National Registry upon hire with American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS) or Cardiovascular Credentialing International (CCI)
Current BLS certification approved by the AHA
