Responsible to assist and coordinate the implementation of Core Measure protocols, Nursing P.I. and data collection processes. Will educate nursing staff and medical personnel to achieve quality initiatives.The Stroke Program Coordinator will work with the nursing staff, managers and directors of all ancillary departments in establishing and implementing and monitoring hospital wide protocols/processes for the purpose of developing standardized structure and quality assurance.Will be responsible for reporting all Nursing PI to Quality Council and other hospital committees.Will serve as a resource and educator for the nursing staff, including other ancillary departments.
POSITION QUALIFICATIONS (including required licenses/certifications, education and job knowledge/experience):
Current Florida RN License
Current BLS Certification
Current ACLS Certification
Certification in Stroke Education
Advanced Stroke Life Support (ASLS) preferred
Minimum 2 years ICU experience, Neuro ICU preferred
Demonstrates the ability to teach the adult learner at all levels
